The Wigwam Goes On Its Way

Dance parties. Late nights. Finals crunch. Laughter. Tears. Hugs. Pranks. Food. Friends. Mice-killings. Roof-climbings. Jam sessions. Prayer. And memories that are too vibrant and crazy to fit into any category. 

As the Wigwam says goodbye, we predict the future fate of the seven Wild Wigwam Women: 

First up: RPie 
BEST dessert ;)
MOST LIKELY TO: Mountain bike Mt. Everest

Shmer: 
BEST: Bear, growl, and dance lips.
MOST LIKELY TO: Leave her own kid behind on family vacation.

But in all sincerity, we genuinely feel incredibly blessed to have had a year of overwhelming love, laughter, care, and friendship with all the exceptional women that God placed in this house together. We're moving on to new and different things, but we'll never move on from the friendships we've made here. So we close the Wigwam with much thankfulness and happy memories.

Long day of classes? Had a rough start? 

Wanna get away? 

Well, have we got the prescription for you! All you need is a little E-laan! E-laan is prescribed by doctors to cure the blues, lift spirits, and induce smiling. Side effects include belly laughs and tears of joy.

But what is E-laan anyway?

E-laan or Ellen, as she is more formally known, is one of our very own Wigwam Women! As noted above, Ellen's radiance contributes immeasurably to the happiness of the Wigwam. This past summer, Ellen entered into this band of wigwam women as the lone woman out, not knowing any of her future roomies very well at all. Contrary to any anxieties about moving in with a bunch of strangers, Ellen fit right in, just like your favorite pair of jeans.

Speaking of fitting in, Ellen does pretty much everywhere. This smiling face has friends in all sorts of different cliques and groups. Her friendliness and genuine interest in others makes her a universal fit and a good friend to have.

 Ellen also has the capability of making you feel at ease after a long day. Her relaxed nature and smile shield you from feeling the harsher realities of life and remind you that there is joy to be found everyday! Not to mention the fact that she is always ready to dance. Furreal though, just lay down the tunes and Ellen will be at it. Whether it's Taylor Swift or Tchaikovsky, E-laan's dancing is always in style.

Did we mention that Ellen is also a nerd? It's true! She is an electrical engineer. ... Just TRY getting much nerdier than that...you really can't! But this is one of the things that also makes Ellen such a great addition to the Wigwam. How often does the combination of high intelligence and social skill come together? It is very rare-and something that make our very own E-laan so special.

We do realize that Ellen got her very own birthday acronym song...but she still needs an acronym poem.

Energetic (she is always doing something!

Lively (similar to energetic)

Listener (Ellen is good at listening to what you have to say)

Extreme (she once danced for three hours in the basement...by herself...)

NERD (a gorgeous nerd that is)
